A little about me

I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been writing professionally since 2006 (see Work).

I've worked as a newspaper journalist, tech writer, medical writer, business reporter, and screenwriter.

I now write for Google and a few other tech companies. Before that, I worked as Head of Content for a Boston-based data management start-up. My focus in the tech space—molding powerful customer journeys with strategic marketing content for global campaigns, product launches, and events.

(As a parenthetical, let's address the elephant in the room: AI. Am I worried about it taking my job(s)? I'll answer that question with another question: you'd probably be okay with someone using AI to help create the blueprints for your new house--in fact you might even encourage it for efficiency's sake--but would you be okay if that person wasn't an architect? Writers will always be needed. AI is a productivity and creativity tool. This woman explains it really well.)

Other adventures:

I lived in Madrid, Spain, for four years in my 20s (where I met my wife, who is from Madrid) and have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane 60 times.

Above all, I'm a storyteller, which means I use words to craft narratives that help me and others make sense of the world.
